    “ I love doing all the voices in my best deep-South accent for this Cinderella-esque folktale. Unlike Cinderella though, it's not true love that wins the heroine her just deserts, but kindness, good manners, and respect for her hostess's instructions. The beautiful pencil and watercolor illustrations also won a Caldecott Medal.”
